You should use the correct referencing format as identified in your assignment brief
The most common form of referencing used at QMU is the Cite Them Right 12th edition version of Harvard
Some courses (Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy) use APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition style of referencing (and QMU Online courses allow use of APA)
You should check your programme and module handbooks and other course information to make sure you are following the requirements for use of referencing style
